The other day my
mom happened to be talking to me about
my sisters. Both of them are in sec 1
now (yes, twins). One of them wants to
be a fashion designer.
Since young she has been drawing
dresses. During almost all of her free
time. There's stacks and stacks of
papers with her drawings on them. It
makes me feel happy to know that my
sister has a dream and is pursuing it. A
dream that she has since primary school.
I hope she achieves it.
When I think back to the times during my
primary school days, I had only one
dream. That was to be a pilot. My dad
had a different dream for me. And that
was to be a doctor. Well, I'm neither a
doctor or a pilot today. But that won't
stop me from dreaming big.
We all have our dreams. Some times it
takes a little bit of effort to make it
come true. Till then, stay focused on
it.
My Collection,
Completed
I still remember
this incident that happened to me when I
was young.
I was at a department store and it was
my birthday. So I was going around in
the toys section looking for toys. And
there, my little eyes spotted, was the
one that I was looking for. A
Transformers toy. Not just ANY
Transformers toy. But THE Transformers
toy. The leader of the autobots. Optimus
Prime.
I picked up the toy, and was filled with
the joy that a young boy can know of
about getting something he likes. Or so
he thought.
I showed it to my mom, and she said that
they couldn't get me that. She took
Optimus Prime away from my hands and in
it's placed was some Transformers that
could transform into a Porsche. I don't
even remember if that guy was an Autobot
or Decepticon. It didn't matter. My
feelings of joy was crushed and my
happiness departed with it.
Since then, I guess I had harboured the
desire to get the Optimus Prime. One way
or another. I had thought that my dream
had died. However, watching the
Transformers movie last year gave it a
new leased of life. And this time, I was
going to do better. I was going to get a
Masterpiece Optimus Prime! Complete with
trailer and all.
Thanks to Ronghui, I got to know about
the Masterpiece Transformers collection.
For the uninitiated, a Masterpiece
Transformers is big, detailed and most
importantly, can transform! Very few
characters made it to the Masterpiece
grade. Out of the 5 characters, I now
have 4.
But only one was most important to me,
and I got it today.
My collection is now complete, my dream
is now realized. =)
I am happy!
Oh yes, almost
forgot, here's a picture of my
collection:
Yes, I have 2
Starscream. Anyone wants to buy one?
Drop me a mail!
Not found yet. There's a jam in the roads to
the causeway as intense checking is done on
vehicles leaving Singapore. Think twice
about going to Malaysia. Be prepared to
spend some time on the Causeway.
Bad Day
One
typical way to define a bad day is the
day you break-up with your partner.
There's bound to be anger,
disappointment, sadness and heart-break.
Of course at times it can also be a
happy occasion for some.
Well one of the
worst way to have a break-up happening
is when you find out that you've been
cheated on. Can there be any worst way
than this? Apparently there is. Check
out the following clip:
For those who
missed it, the guy in the clip is Jimmy
Kimmel, the girl is Sarah Silverman, his
now ex-girlfriend and the show is The
Jimmy Kimmel Show. Ouch.
But you've got to
respect the guy. He plotted revenge with
the following clip:
Respect!
Elmo Interviewed
Karen shared this clip with me. It's
damn cute and entertaining too. Check it
out!
Elmo
'unmasked'
In the following clip, you
will see the man behind the voice of
Elmo. Don't watch it if you don't want
your image of Elmo crushed! You have
been warned! Hahaha...
Don't Judge Too
Quickly
Often we haste in passing
judgment onto others. However, who are
we to judge others in the first place?
Always try to
respect others. Even if some times it
can be really hard to do it. Check out
this entertaining clip to be reminded
why you should not judge too quickly.
Best if you don't judge at all.
We're in The New
Paper!
The word spread like
an untamed wild-fire. 'We're in the New
Paper today! Junliang published an
article on our caving trip!' Well of
course I had to see it for myself. So I
bought a copy and hoped to see a pic of
me in the article.
No such luck. :( But
the article was nicely written and
prominently and proudly mentioned
'Outdoor Adventure Club Alumni of
Singapore Institute of Management'.
If there's one thing about women fashion
that I appreciate, it would be dresses.
Hence I appreciate women in dresses more
than those in slacks or jeans. You may
find this taste old-fashion but hey, the
traditional ways works the best some
times. Have you ever attended a wedding
where the bride wears pants? I don't
think so.
A dress enhances a
woman's feminine features. She appears
more beautiful and more womanly in a
dress. She will flow about with style,
exuberating a glow that will capture
attention. It reflects the statement
'I'm a woman and I'm damn proud of it!'.
Her appearance will be that of a true
beauty. And beauty is always
appreciated.
Don't go overboard
with a dress. It doesn't have to be
something fanciful.
Because there is
beauty in simplicity itself.
Of course our crazy
hot weather doesn't suitably encourage
women to wear dresses in day time. But
when the sun sets, it's time to dress up
and look good!
Ladies! Time to
dress up and be appreciated!
Kuai
Yee's Wedding
I attended
Kuai Yee's wedding today, at Marina
Mandarin. It's held on 5th March 2008.
The significance? 5+3=8.
Met up with a lot
of people whom I've not seen in a damn
long time (almost 10 years for some!).
It's a wonderful feeling to see so many
familiar faces and to catch up with
people again.
But more
importantly, Kuai Yee looks beautiful on
this special night of hers.
Congratulations to
Kuai Yee and hubby on your wedding. May
you be blessed with eternal marital
bliss and ever-lasting love! =)
At times like
this I miss my camera more. =(
At times like
this I wished I had found my special
one. =\
May your wishes
come true and happiness be with you!
Movie On Mas
Selamat Escape?
Rumour has
it that there is going to be a movie
made out of the 'great escape' of Mas
Selamat. The poster for the movie is
already out. I received it in my email
today. Check it out!
Also, rumour has
it that Hollywood writers are looking
for Mas 'Scofield' Selamat. They need to
know how he did his escape so as to
write a story for Prison Break season 4.
Looks like he is more popular than ever
before!
I realized that
it's been a while since I went for a
birthday celebration dinner. So today
was a good day to have one. After all,
her birthday is tomorrow.
It was raining
since morning and when I left home, it
was still raining! I didn't carry an
umbrella as the rain was not so heavy. I
figured my hat was good enough to
provide me shelter from the rain.
We met up first
to hang out at Wheelock Place. The best
place to hang out in the area is Zara
(next would be Borders). Retail therapy!
She'll be
starting work tomorrow and so is on the
hunt for some clothes to wear at work.
We went around looking at clothes after
clothes after clothes. The options are
plenty, and she tried those that she
fancied. It was fun seeing her try all
sorts of stuffs.
I did the same
too at the Men's section. However I find
that the range of men's apparel was
limited at this store. Spotted a nice
blazer/jacket that. A white one. Am
planning to get that one day. Damn I
look good in it! Haha..
Eventually got
her a birthday gift from the store. It
was a blazer/jacket that she could use
at work. Of course, this was a gift that
will be shared with the rest of the
climbing gang.
By the time we
were done, the rest had arrived and we
went for dinner at California Kitchen.
It was around dinner time that I started
to feel slightly sick. My condition
worsen as time goes by and by the end of
dinner I was leaking from the nose and
feeling a bit light-headed.
We moved on to
Coffee Bean nearby to carry on with the
celebration. Almost everyone played the
game 'Turn The Tide' while chilling over
there. I didn't because I was feeling
sick still. I wanted to leave early so
that I can get home and get some
medicine but decided against it so as
not to spoil the mood. Lucky for me,
tissue was available readily at Coffee
Bean. My nose was running like a tap! My
eyes were tearing now and then too. Argh!
Still, I had a
good time celebrating and meeting up
with the climbing gang. I'm sure they
had a good time too! Sadly, no pictures.
=(
Gay Heroes???
One of my favourite applications in
Facebook is 'My
Heroes Ability'. This application
let you have abilities similar to the
ones you can find in the show 'Heroes'.
You get to level up, learn new abilities
and battle against others with your
abilities.
Of course it's
better to battle in a group than going
into a fight alone. Hence there is the
feature of forming groups in this
application. I was browsing the list of
groups and chance upon this a gay group. Woah!
Click on the
above thumb-nail to see detailed
description on the group.
No I did not join
that group. (-_-")
Updates on Manhunt
for Mas Selamat
Minister of
Home Affairs apologizes for the escape.
Which is weird because ISD reports
directly to Prime Minister Office and is
not under Ministry of Home Affairs.
Wait a minute...
where is the Prime Minister?
I try to live life to the
fullest while enjoying the beauty that life has to offer.
It's all about the brighter and
funnier side of life.
For everything else, you would
have to discover for yourself.
