ERP Expanding
Recently I was told that the ERP price
will increase. In addition, the areas
that will be affected by the ERP will
increase. I also hear a lot of drivers
saying ‘Chow Chee Bye’ and ‘What The
Fuck?!’ when they heard this news. But
all this is not surprising.
The price of COEs had
gone down, resulting in cars being more
affordable and so there are more cars on
the road. With more cars on the road,
what better way to fucking squeeze the
money out of the driving population of
Singapore than to increase the ERP price
and widening the ERP areas?
Increasing the ERP is
more effective than increasing the road
tax because road tax is collected only
once a year whilst ERP fee is collected
every freaking day. Plus it’s faster to
implement and easier to collect in terms
of payment.
The result? Instant
money for the Government to fuel
the pockets of it’s workers
it's resources. Singaporeans are such
wonderful cash cows for them. Moo!
At the rate this is
going, eventually you will see the ERP
gantry at the entrance/exit of your
car-park. And it won’t be called ERP any
more. It’ll probably be called Permanent
Road Pricing. Or Permanent Automobile
Pricing. After all, there has to be some
form of uniformity in our civil service,
right? ;)

Sometimes I
wonder
Sometimes I wonder why I bother
with some people. I go all out to get in
touch and yet the effort is not
appreciated.
Some people
talk about meeting up to catch up, hang
out or chill. But that's all they do.
Talk. Thereafter when a date is set to
meet up, they can't make it due to a
thousand and one excuses. Or they
continuously postpone the meet up.
Hello. It's not like the event was set
this morning? It's been planned for
quite some time now. If the interest is
not there to meet up then just say 'I
don't think meeting up is good for me.'
Plain and simple.
Really, sometimes
I wonder why I bother with some people.

I Love My Hot New
Toy
I’ve been saying this
for quite some time now on my msn nick.
I’ll say it here as well.
I love my hot new
toy. I lurveeeeeeeeeeeee it.
I lurveeeeeeeee my
iTouch!
So far it’s the
best buy for 2008. =)
Why iLove my hot new
toy?
Let me count the
ways…
- it’s eye-catching
and sexy with it’s simple design
- the interface is
simple and smooth
- it has a relatively
big screen for a portable device
- it is not too
heavy, not too light, just the right
weight.
- it plays music
- it plays movies (a
major factor for me because now I can
watch movies on the go! Traveling is no
longer a boring affair)
- it displays photos
beautifully
- it can surf the web
wirelessly (a major plus whenever and
wherever there is wifi connection)
- it’s portable and
easy to carry
- iCan install
software in it to increase it’s
functionality and entertainment value (eg.
Email, E-book Reader, Maps, Games and so
on)
Wow, that’s plenty of
ways already!
Of course, there are
many ways for it to improve.
But for now, I’m
happy with the way it is.
One of the my main
reason for getting one is due to it’s
ability to play movies. Sure, there are
plenty of other portable media players (PMP)
out in the market, but why this one
stands out is due to the screen size and
slim design. Other devices may have
bigger screen like the Archos 605 (4.3”
vs 3.5”) but they are not as slim as the
iTouch.
Of course, a slim
design means the capacity is smaller
compared to other players (iTouch comes
in 8GB and 16GB) but one doesn’t really
need so much storage space.
Anyway I digress. The
ability to play movies is a big plus for
me. I enjoy movies a lot and have a vast
collection of movies. However, I can
hardly find the time to enjoy watching
them. With my iTouch, I can now watch
movies on the go, especially on my way
to work. The travel time from my home to
my office is about 45mins to 1 hour.
Previously I would either just try to
get a quick nap, play games on my
Nintendo DS Lite or just stare into
space. Now I can indulge myself in
comedy, drama, action, adventure, horror
and much more. I have the ability to
watch and enjoy my collection of movies!
Hooray!

Heath Ledger died
today. He was only 28 years old.
He was a good actor.
He will be missed.

Damn it Heath.
If you were
depressed, get help. Not give up on
life. Haiz...
Living is always
tough. It's never easy. Everybody knows
that.
But that doesn't
mean one should give up.
Take each
challenge as it comes and deal with it.
Most importantly remember that you don't
have to face the challenges alone.
There's bound to be someone who can
help. There're so many people around us
after all.
So if you're
feeling down and you feel there's no way
out, look around you.
And ask for help!

Hot Or Cold?
Since morning I was feeling queasy and
so by lunch time I decided to see a
doctor as things had taken for the
worst. After seeing the doctor (he said
I had stomach flu), I waited for my turn
to collect my medicine (got half day MC
as well!).
When my turn came,
the pharmacist explained to me on how to
go about taking the various medicines.
One of medicine that I got was a powdery
stuff that needed to be mixed with water
and drank. Her explanation when like
this:
Pharmacist: Ok, for
this medicine, you take it one hour
after your meal. You must mix it with
boiling cold water, stir and drink it
all.
Me: Boiling cold
water?
Pharmacist: Yes,
boiling cold water.
At this point I was
thinking,’ Did I miss something here? Is
science so advanced that we now have
boiling cold water? Or did she meant
lukewarm water?’
So I asked: Er…so
should the water be hot or cold?
Pharmacist: Cold. You
boil the water, make it cold in the
fridge and then you mix the cold water
with the medicine.
Me: Ahhh… ok!
So actually she meant
boiled, cold water!

Vivid Dreams
For yesterday night's dream, I dreamt
that I was working in a store at my old
neighbourhood in Haig Road. I was late
and was rushing to my work place when
suddenly this old lady approached me and
asked me for help. She wanted to go back
to her home.
However, she does not
know where she lives! She don’t know if
she lives in blk 4 or blk 8 and whether
if it was in that area as well. Talk
about being stuck and not knowing where
to go!
I wanted to help her
out but I also wanted to rush to work.
Hence the only solution I could think of
was to bring her to the nearest police
station.
But before I even got
to that part, the scene changed and I
was near a bus stop with a friend.
It was starting to
drizzle and we were making our way to
the bus stop. My friend told me that she
wanted to talk to me about something but
she has to run a short errand. I told
her I couldn't hang around because I had
to work. She was visibly upset when I
said this. I tried to console by saying
I'll look for her after work but that
didn't seem to have any effect. I
started to write a 'cheer me up' kind of
card. However, as I was writing this
card, a bus came and she queued to board
it. I finished the card and turned only
to see her boarding the bus and leaving.
I felt very bad about not being able to
stay for her.
Then I woke up.
Busy Busy Busy
January is one of the busiest month of
the year for me. Apart from catching up
with friend whom I've not seen since
'last year', the rest of the time is
spent planning.
Planning for the rest
of the year. Like what do I want to
achieve, where do I want to go, when do
I want to do stuffs, what have I done
the previous year and so on. Kind of
like drawing my map for the rest of the
year. That way I have some sort of
directions on where I'm heading.
Why I think about
what I've done the previous year?
Well, you
wouldn't know where you going, unless
you know where you've been. ;)
New year resolutions?
Never really set them.
My experience has
taught me that I can set my new year
resolution to be one that is simple, can
be re-used year after year after year
and can be explained in three words (or
four, depending if one of the word is
two words or one).
My new year
resolution is: Don't Fuck-up 2008.
Should it be fuck-up
or fuck up?
Enlighten me please.

Back 2 Work
Today I found myself a little bit
excited about going back to work. It’s
kind of weird. The feeling is similar to
the one most will get on the first day
of school. Excited, anxious, worrying,
happy and more. All almost at the same
time. A rollercoaster of emotions. But
all in all I felt good about going back
to work.
That feeling flew out
the window after I checked my email at
work. Haiz.
That’s when reality
hit me. My body is here, but my soul is
still in Blue Mountains. Argh!
And despite having
plenty to do, I found myself lacking the
motivation to get myself moving. I
seriously need to kick myself so as to
wake me up. No, no help is needed for
this one. =P
But towards the end
of the day, I suddenly had a surge of
motivation.
That’s because my new
toy will be delivered tonight.
Initially the
delivery was supposed to be at 8pm, but
it got delayed.
I waited impatiently
as the clock goes by seconds, minutes,
hours…
Finally at 10pm, I
got the long-awaited sms, informing me
that my toy is now ready for collection.
Presenting, my new
toy:
With this Ipod Touch
(or iTouch as iLike to call it), I've
taken my first step towards the Mac
Side.
I’m a happy man
now. Weeeeeeeeeee~

So Long Ago
It's been a long time
since my last update.
Heck, my last update
was in 2007! That's like last year! OMG!
Before I could do a
proper plan for it, 2008 is here.
It's true what they
say, you know?
Time flies when you're
having fun.
And I was indeed
having loads of fun in Australia.
I went there on the
14th of December and came back only
yesterday.
Yeap, I went
Australia in 2007 and came back only in
2008.
It's not often you
get a chance to say something like that.
It's also not often
that you get to tell people 'See you
next year!' when it was only the mid of
December. But I did that.
But now I'm back and
tomorrow I'll be heading back to the
office.
Back to work.
And I still haven't
plan my 2008 yet. Damn.
I was gone for about
three and a half weeks, yet so much has
changed since my absence. So much catching
up to do.
Better get to it. ;)
Vivid Dreams
Recently my dreams have become more and
more vivid.
It almost feels
like watching a show, but instead, I'm
part of the show!
Some of the
dreams are funny.
Most of it are
weird.
A few were scary,
including one where a baby was left at
my door and I had to raise it by myself.
Woah!
Well, some dreams
do come true.
So hopefully the
good ones are the ones that come true
(especially the one where I won first
prize in lottery! Wee~)!
Yes, I can hear
some of you people saying it.
Dream on.
But hey, I will!
